Ironworks Fabrication is hiring a MIG/TIG Welder for our custom metal shop. This role reports to the Shop Foreman and fabricates structural and architectural steel and stainless to drawings and AWS D1.1.
2.Responsibilities
- Read shop drawings and weld symbols and follow the WPS for each job
- MIG-weld carbon steel and TIG-weld stainless and aluminum to spec
- Lay out, fit, and tack assemblies to tolerance before final welding
- Grind and finish welds and prep parts for paint or powder coat
- Visually inspect welds and repair defects before sign-off
- Cut and shape stock with plasma, band saw, and grinders
- Follow hot-work permits, wear PPE, and use fume extraction
- Keep welders, leads, and the bay clean and in good order

- 4+ years of MIG and TIG fabrication experience
- Strong on steel, stainless, and aluminum
- Reads structural drawings and weld symbols fluently
- Current AWS D1.1 certification (or passes the weld test)
