Cedar Valley Community Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for our 28-bed med-surg unit to deliver direct patient care to a typical 5-patient assignment. This role reports to the Med-Surg Nurse Manager and works alongside hospitalists, LPNs, and CNAs.
2.Responsibilities
- Complete a head-to-toe assessment on each patient and update the nursing care plan every shift
- Administer oral, IV, and PRN medications using the five rights and barcode scanning
- Chart assessments, MAR, and intake/output in Epic in real time
- Watch for clinical deterioration and activate the rapid-response team per protocol
- Round with the hospitalist team and carry out new orders promptly
